Vessel can sleep 4 with ease and has a good sized galley featuring gas fuelled Flavel oven with 2-burner hob and grill, top loading ice box for perishables and sink with pressurised fresh water. New saloon cushions in 2017. Boat kept warm and dry thanks to Eberspacher cabin heating. Full interior varnish in 2020. New teak effect flooring.
Deck stepped aluminium spars with boom mounted mainsail with recent sail cover. Roller furling headsail and spinnaker with pole. All exterior canvas work upgraded in 2016.


Below decks is warm and inviting. Nice combination of wood and fabrics. Fabric and foam replaced in the saloon in 2017 including curtains. The interior woodwork was all sanded back and then coated with varnish in 2020. The vessel can sleep 5 with ease.

Double V berth in forward cabin with infill. This was replaced with memory foam mattress in 2017.

The galley is situated on the starboard side and is equipped with a Flavel Vanessa, gas-fuelled oven with two burner hob and grill.
Also equipped with good storage, a stainless steel sink and cool box.

Boat kept warm and dry by Eberspacher cabin heating. Solar powered fan fitted to washboard in 2016. This aids ventilation when boat not in use.

Brand new teak effect vinyl in saloon adds warmth and classy feel.

Mechanical & Rigging


This Moody 27 was designed by Bill Dixon and built by Marine Projects of Plymouth in 1982.
The hull and coachroof are constructed in GRP and finished in white gel coat. Smart "Moody" blue cove line stripe. Cockpit and walkways finished in grey non slip.
Shoal draft fin keel with transom hung rudder with tiller steering. Underwater areas have been sanded back to the gelcoat, isolated blisters dealt with and hull has been epoxied, primed and then antifouled. Large self bailing cockpit with large locker storage to port and self draining gas locker to starboard aft. Anchor locker in bow with lid. Anchor with chain and warp. Stainless steel bow and stern rails offering protection. These are connected by a set of stanchions and double set guardwires. Teak grab rails mounted to coachroof. Opening deck hatch for light and ventilation.

Engine & Electrics

Vessel powered by a raw water cooled Volvo MD7B. This 18hp inboard diesel engine has been regularly maintained with a service annually at the end of the season. Engine start panel in cockpit with key start. Single lever engine control with forward and reverse gearing. MS2 reduction gearbox with 'P' bracket supported, shaft driven fixed 2 bladed propeller. Last service completed May 2020 and has done little work since.

Bank of 2x12V batteries fitted with rotary style selector. The batteries are recharged via the engine alternator and provide engine start and domestic power. Fused, 12V switch panel above quarter berth. Shore power cable with 240V ring main for use when attached to dockside power.

Sails & Rigging

Proctor Deck stepped alloy spars including conventional spinnaker pole. Boom mounted slab reefing mainsail and roller furling system for head sail. Coach roof mounted halyard winch, cockpit mounted genoa sheet winches and mast mounted halyard winch.
Stainless steel standing rigging and terylene running rigging all in good order. Lewmar genoa and halyard winches. Slab reefing main. Furling genoa. Spinnaker
