Freedom is a good example of the well renowned Alan Buchanan designed Channel Islands 22. Designed and built as a sturdy motor cruiser with good sea keeping qualities - perfect for weekend cruising. This example is fitted with the larger Ford Mermaid 150hp turbo four diesel engine. She has two single berth which can be converted into a large double berth. Separate heads to port with sea toilet. Galley complete with twin burner gas cooker, grill and stainless steel sink. Electronics include GPS Plotter, Echo Sounder and VHF, and comes complete with beaching legs. Built by Silva Yates (Plastics) Ltd of Jersey in 1979 to a design by Alan Buchanan. 
Blue GRP semi-displacement hull with white GRP superstructure with non-slip surfaces to decks. (Topsides professionally painted in 2024)
Hardwood wheelhouse
Moderate Vee hull formed of a multi-purpose semi-round bilge which gives a sea-kindly motion while the flat aft section maximises potential speed.
Rubber rubbing strake. 
Self draining aft cockpit. 
Wheel steering. 
Teak grab rails.
