Accommodation

The Westerly Conway offers 6 berths in three cabins with excellent headroom. The semi custom interior comprises teak and birds eye maple carpentry, upgraded door furniture, additional lockers and numerous improvements to the normal Westerly specification. Original head linings throughout.

The forward cabin layout consists of a V berth with storage below and shelving below the opening port lights and forward deck hatch.

The heads compartment is to starboard with Lavao marine toilet, basin and shower arranged in a user friendly layout for easy use both at sea and in harbour. Opposite the heads compartment are storage lockers providing hanging storage.

The saloon has two settee berths with custom cushions and storage below. There are cupboards behind the seat backs and above the berths. Lee cloths are fitted and there a double leafed saloon table with bottle stowage.

The L shaped galley is aft of the saloon on the starboard side. Equipped with a Nelson gas cooker with 2 burners, grill and oven, the refrigerator runs 12V or 24V ??, twin stainless steel sinks and copious under counter storage. The hot and cold pressurised fresh water system is heated via a Rinnai gas heater (refurbished 2020). The galley is fitted with a cook's safety strap for use at sea.

Opposite the galley on the port side is the nav station with a good sized chart table with chart storage, drawers and book storage outboard. The nav station also houses the switch panel for both the 12V and 240V systems.

Aft of the nav station is a walk through to the aft cabin. The walk through provides access to the aft cabin air conditioning system, Eberspacher diesel fired central heating system and engine.

The aft cabin has a large double berth with deck hatch to the cockpit above, opening port lights and ample storage.

Construction

Built by Westerly Marine in 1975 hull number 23 is a white painted hull sporting dark green style stripes and teak rubbing strakes. The hull was epoxied in 2020. The coachroof is painted white with green treadmaster non slip and teak hand rails . The fin keel is made of cast iron and the rudder is skeg hung with wheel steering. The centre cockpit is self draining with teak seats and teak gratings to sole. There are hatches to the saloon and aft cabin and alloy framed windows and opening ports. Running along the length of the deck are moulded toe rails and stain;less steel safety lines and stanchions with access gates on each side. The hull is equipped with midship mooring cleats.
