Summary
The Fairline Turbo 36 was an instant hit with the boating fraternity when she was introduced in the early 80’s. Designed by Olesinski, who by clever design managed to pack an accommodation layout normally associated with a 40-footer into 36 feet. The versatility of this boat suited both the family boater or cruising couple, and the appeal is still there today. If you want a high volume, comfortable cruiser with an excellent flybridge then look no further than ‘Lady Irene’.
She is well equipped, has the larger more desirable, and recently serviced TAMD61A offerings, bow thruster, comprehensive electronic navigation package and davit mounted dinghy and outboard. The radar arch is hinged so those wishing to boat on the rivers and canals are catered for. Spacious accommodation with owners cabin aft, deck saloon, galley and fore cabin.
Would make an ideal coastal cruiser with liveaboard capabilities.
Mechanical
Vessel powered by twin Volvo Penta TAMD61A inboard diesel engines developing 306hp at 2800rpm. She will cruise happily at 1800 rpm giving a speed between 16-18 knots depending on tide, equipment carried and how clean her bottom is. Reduction gearboxes with shaft driven four-blade bronze propellors. Engines have completed 1678 hours and have been regularly maintained. Most recent service completed in July 2026. Engine access is through the access hatches in the saloon floor allowing for servicing and daily checks. Full engine instrumentation at both upper and lower helms. Twin lever engine controls.
- Complete set of engine spares
Electrical
12/240V systems on board with a bank of 5x12V batteries providing engine start, bowthruster and domestic power. Batteries are fitted with key style selector switches and are recharged by the engine alternators or by the onboard Sterling Pro charge system. There is a coupler switch at the lower helm which allows the engines to be started by the domestic bank should the engine start batteries fail.
All cabins, saloon and galley witted with 240V outlets. 12V USB charging ports at helm. Shore power with cable.
