Summary
'Knot on Call' is a desirable 2007 Jeanneau Merry Fisher 655, powered by the economical and dependable Volvo Penta D3-110hp inboard diesel engine with direct shaft drive, providing reliable performance and low running costs. She also benefits from the sought-after factory bathing platform. A versatile and highly regarded wheelhouse cruiser, equally at home as a capable day boat or comfortable weekend cruiser/fisher. Designed with a spacious wheelhouse and practical layout, she offers excellent protection from the elements together with generous cockpit space, making her one of the most user-friendly boats in her class. Presented in very good condition for her age, her specification includes an electric anchor windlass, the upgraded U-shaped cockpit seating package, fridge, and a Raymarine multifunction display with GPS chartplotter and fishfinder. A well-equipped and ready-to-enjoy example of this ever-popular model - early viewing is highly recommended.
Mechanical
The engine is located beneath the cockpit sole, with additional service access from within the wheelhouse. Powered by a Volvo Penta D3-110 four-cylinder, 110hp turbocharged diesel engine, driving a conventional shaft and three-bladed bronze propeller.
Engine operation is via single-lever controls with electric start, complemented by Volvo Penta's EVC (Electronic Vessel Control) system and digital engine display.
Fuel is supplied from a 120-litre roto-moulded plastic fuel tank.
The engine presents in excellent cosmetic condition and has logged just over 600 engine hours from new. It was last serviced in Spring 2026 and has been well maintained throughout its life.
Trim tabs with Lectrotab controls
Widely regarded as one of the most desirable engine options for the Merry Fisher 655, the Volvo Penta D3-110 offers noticeably smoother and quieter operation than many earlier Yanmar and Nanni installations, while also delivering impressive fuel economy. Expect economical displacement cruising at around 6–7 knots, consuming approximately 4–6 litres per hour, or a comfortable cruising speed of 13–15 knots with fuel consumption in the region of 12–14 litres per hour, making it an excellent choice for both coastal cruising and extended weekends afloat.
