Summary

Silver Star is a Monterey 282 sports cruiser. She benefits from having twin, inboard diesel Yanmar 4LHA engines with stern drive propusion, both bow and stern thrusters to aid maneuverability, 'Flexi Teak' to bathing platform and cockpit, bespoke cockpit table, recent cockpit canvas and recently upholstered pilot and copilot seating.
Below decks is warm and welcoming with recently reupholstered seating area, separate aft berth with privacy curtain, comfortable saloon and good sized galley including a fridge, electric hob and a microwave oven.
Electronic navigation aids include include a DSC radio, Standard Horizon colour chart plotter and a tablet with Navionics cartography and a mounting bracket at helm.

Mechanical

Vessel is powered by twin inboard diesel Yanmar 4LHA-STP, 240hp engines. Engines accessed via engine bay at the rear of the cockpit allowing all round access for servicing and daily checks.
Sterndrive propulsion with 3-bladed propellers. Vessel fitted with both bow and stern thrusters for ease of manoeuvring. Engines have completed 535 hours and were fully serviced in 2024. Engines have only completed 10 hours since.

Electrical

Both 12/240V systems onboard with switch panel adjacent to galley. Bank of 3x12V batteries providing engine start, domestic and bow/stern thruster power. These are fitted with isolators and are recharged by eith the engine alternator or the onboard battery charger, 12/240 volt sockets onboard. 2Kw invertor allows appliance use when at sea or on a non serviced berth.

Accommodation

Vessel can sleep 6 persons over the saloon and aft berth. Sliding, lockable door to main saloon with full standing headroom.
The interior was re-upholstered in 2022 with smart grey, easy clean fabrics.
Berth arrangements are a permanent double berth in the bow, mid-ships seating area converts to a double and an aft cabin which is set up as two bench seats will convert toi a large double berth. This area is fitted with a privacy curtain.
Galley is on port side and features 2-burner electric induction hob and stainless steel sink built into the Corian work top. Below is a front loading 12/240V fridge and above is a 12/240V microwave oven.
Opposite is the heads compartment with electric flush toilet, sink with storage below and pull out shower with shower sump pump out.
The interior fit out is to a very high standard and is in very good condition. Webasto diesel fired heating keeps the boat warm and dry and extends the boating season.

Construction

GRP Constructed Sports Cruiser with planing hull. Flare to bow minimises onboard spray. Topsides finished in an attractive silver/grey. High gloss gel finish to superstructure. Curved glass windscreen with central access to foredeck. Anchor locker with electric windlass. Stainless steel stemhead fitting with bow roller and securing pin allowing anchor to be permanently mounted ready for deployment.
Moulded spray strakes increases grip at both low and high speed. Maneuverability is further enhanced by the twin engines and both bow and stern thrusters.
Cockpit is entered from the inbuilt bathing platform via a transom door. Lower cockpit with Vis-a-Vis upholstered seating and a bespoke table with boat name. This seating can be fully removed giving full access to the engine bay.
Raised helm with piolt and co pilot seating. Excellent visibility.
On portside is a wet bar with sink and storage.
