Summary
Without a doubt one of the best flybridge motor cruisers built by Sealine. The 42/5 was the predecessor to the hugely popular F45 and to this day has remained a real head turner. The versatilty of the expanding cockpit was simply genius and the layout suited the cruising couple and family boater in equal measure.
'Lolly' is a rare example of the 3 guest cabin version which gives the added versatility of a 3rd cabin or can be turned into an office or store room. The settee in the lounge features a pull out double so you can accommodate a lot of family and friends.
Powered by the more desirable 480hp, TAMD75 engines, she will tip along at 22 knots with plenty in reserve. Excellent inventory including passarelle, dinghy crane, Ribeye 280 tender with 15hp outboard, a 13.5 Kva generator, reverse cycle air conditioning in all cabins, cockpit grill and fully electric galley. Upgraded Raymarine electronic navigation pack including Radar and AIS. When it comes to berthing her bow and stern thrusters are an added bonus.
All the interior upholstery and carpeting has been replaced as have all the exterior cushions and sunbathing mattrasses. All covers including flybridge, windscreen and rear cockpit enclosure were replaced in 2024.
Vessel was antifouled, topsides polished in May 2025 and engines serviced ready for the 2025 season in February 2025.

Accommodation
The sealine F42/5 layout and design was very innovative. The cockpit feels like an extension of the saloon and when the rear doors are open, you can relax in either space and feel part of the company. The cockpit seating converts to a large sunpad and being fixed to the cockpit floor it can still be used when the cockpit is extended. To port of the transom door is an electric cockpit grill with fridge below which is ideal for keeping additional drinks cold or the food you are cooking fresh. The flybridge is huge and features seating along the starboard side, a wet bar with a fridge, and forward-facing seating ahead of the rear sunpad. The twin helm seats on the port side can be rotated to face the starboard seating. All seats and sunbathing cushions were professionally recovered in 2017.
On entering the saloon, you can’t help being impressed by the amount of natural light that emanates from the front screens and side windows. The interior joinery work is in great condition, and her U-shaped seating area is large and comfortable. There is a bed settee hidden in the central cushions which is ideal if unexpected guests arrive or you fancy an afternoon nap in the saloon. The interior upholstery was all professionally replaced in 2017 in smart grey Alcantara fabrics. The carpets throughout the boat have all been replaced as well with a light grey colour is definitely more practical than the original cream offerings.
As this is the three cabin version the galley is on the port side of the saloon. There is no gas onboard this boat, so all appliances are electric. These include a 2-burner induction hob, a combi microwave oven and a large capacity front opening fridge. At this point you should remember that there are three fridges on board so more than sufficient to make long-range cruising a reality.
Forward of the saloon seating area is the raised lower helm position with two comfortable pilot and co-pilot seats. These have also been recovered in the same fabrics as the saloon. Full engine instrumentation and an array of electronic navigation aids.
Forward of the helm is the midships guest cabin. This can be set up as 2 large singles or as a large double berth. Hanging wardrobe and shelved storage. Jack and jill door to day heads gives the impression of an ensuite. There is a flat screen TV mounted on the bulkhead and the cabin has its own air conditioning vent and temperature controls. Cabin is bright and airy with lots of natural light from port lights.
The days heads is large and has an electric flush toilet with holding tank. Moulded sink unit with storage below. Shower area with curtain and mixer tap. Mirrored vanity unit with lots of storage for personal toiletries.
Opposite is the 3rd cabin with has 2 bunk beds. This can be utilised as a storeroom or an office if the additional berthing is not required.
In the bow is the owners en-suite cabin. Large island berth with padded headboard and surround. Hull mounted his and hers lockers. Hanging wardrobes and drawer storage. Opening deck hatch lets in lots of natural light. Air conditioning vents with temperature controls. Ensuite heads with electric flush sea toilet and sink unit with hot and cold pressurised water. Separate shower stall with Perspex door.
All ports and windows are fitted with blinds to minimise UV damage to interior woodwork. All cabins are fitted with both deck head and reading lights. 3-pin sockets throughout.
Construction
White GRP hull side decks and superstructure. The hull topsides and superstructure were polished in May 2025, and the underwater area antifouled and anodes changed. Teak laid bathing platform, cockpit sole , flybridge and flybridge steps. Cockpit electrically extends by three feet to give more room when sunbathing or entertaining. This does not inhibit the bathing platform usage. There is a dinghy crane with cover and mounted on chocks a 2.80M Ribeye tender with 15hp 4-stroke outboard. There is also a Passarelle which is not currently mounted. In-built stainless-steel boarding ladder. Cockpit hot and cold shower.
Moving forward is very easy and safe. Thigh-height stainless steel side and bow rails with additional handily placed stainless steel grab rails aid access forward. In the bow is a large capacity anchor locker with electric windlass. Delta 23Kg anchor with calibrated chain and warp. Forward sunbathing mattrasses with press stud attachments for topping up your tan.
