Accommodation
The interior layout consists of a forward cabin with a twin v-style berth and infill for double berth, heads offset to starboard, a double aft cabin with heads offset to port, a central saloon wheelhouse with table convertible to berth, and an external flybridge with exterior helm. The saloon and galley is set at a lower level forward of the wheel house and aft of the forward cabin.
Overview:
Starting forward, Blue Star features a comfortable bow cabin with a traditional V-berth arrangement, complemented by storage lockers above and beneath the berths. An infill converts the space into a generous double berth, while a wardrobe, mirror, excellent natural lighting, and good ventilation make this cabin both practical and inviting.
Stepping aft, the heads compartment is located to starboard and is fitted with a manual Jabsco marine toilet w/holding tank, wash basin, and shower faucet.
Further aft on the same level is the well-equipped U-shaped galley to starboard. Facilities include a front-loading domestic refrigerator with ice box, twin stainless steel sinks with pressurised hot and cold water, and a Neptune two-burner gas stove with oven and grill (2020), providing everything required for extended cruising and comfortable onboard living.
Opposite the galley to port is a spacious dinette seating area with a drop-down table, which conveniently converts to provide an additional berth when required.
Ascending the steps to the wheelhouse/deck saloon, the helm position is situated to starboard and benefits from full engine instrumentation and navigational equipment. Swivelling helm and co-pilot seats provide excellent visibility and comfort underway. At the aft end of the wheelhouse is an L-shaped seating area to port with a table, while opposite to starboard is a useful linear storage cabinet. Permateak flooring new in 2024
Access to the aft cabin is located to starboard. This impressive owner’s cabin features a centreline double berth with ample cupboards and storage surrounding the cabin, creating a spacious and comfortable retreat. To port is a private ensuite heads compartment fitted with a Jabsco marine toilet (direct discharge), wash basin, and shower faucet. New mattress in 2024

Founded in 1967, Aqua-Star earned an outstanding reputation for producing robust, seaworthy workboats capable of operating safely and comfortably in challenging weather conditions, whilst still delivering the performance required by harbour authorities and pilot services. Much like the renowned Nelson range, the exceptional seakeeping qualities of the Aqua-Star hulls quickly attracted private owners seeking capable and dependable offshore cruising motor yachts.
Introduced during the mid-1980s, the Aqua-Star 38 was available in both aft cockpit and aft cabin layouts. Blue Star is the highly desirable aft cabin version, offering spacious and versatile accommodation including two double cabins, two separate heads compartments, a dinette, fully equipped galley, and a bright deck saloon with both internal and flybridge helm positions.
