Summary

'Sand-Bar' is without a doubt the best equipped and maintained example of the ever popular Arvor 230AS. She is a credit to her owner who has lovingly maintained and upgraded the vessel with equipment that adds value and increases your onboard experience. 
These include the addition of a pressurised fresh water system, cabin heating and galley facilities to increase onboard comfort and both bow and stern thrusters, electric anchor winch and upgraded throttle controls which make life so much easier if boating alone. 
Her engine has been very well maintained and has only completed 430 serviced hours. Timing belts and water pumps have been replaced and even better a fuel polishing system has been installed.
She comes with all the toys such as an outboard motor with the best designed launching bracket ever designed, Bennet trim tabs, live bait well, deck wash, twin electric remote spotlights and a wealth of electronic navigation aids. These include Garmin 12" plotter with down imaging sounders, radar, a Lowrance Elite plotter sounder with relief shading, Raymarine and NAVMAN DSC VHF radios and the all important AIS.

Mechanical

Vessel is powered by an economical and efficient VW 150TDi-5 inboard diesel engine. The engine has completed 431 serviced hours and is in excellent condition. The engine has an annual service with new oils, filters, engine anodes and gear box oil. Most recent service in March 2026. Timing belt and water pump changed in June 2025.  Reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft with 4-bladed bronze propeller. New engine anodes March 2026. 
Engine start panel at helm with key start. Digital display giving fuel consumption, hours, oil pressure and temperature. Single lever engine control with forward and reverse gearing.

The wheelhouse is entered via a lockable sliding door. Step down into the cabin with it 6 foot plus headroom and excellent visibility. To starboard is the pilot and co pilot seating. These drop down to create more space or if you prefer to stand when helming. To port is a small galley space with a single burner hob. Two single berths with infil allows you to get your head down should you wish to overnight. Opening roof hatch and ports for ventilation.

GRP constructed sea angling boat with Burgundy hi-gloss topsides and smart white decals. Semi displacement hull with directional skeg and stainless steel rudder. Large capacity anchor locker with strongpoint and electric windlass. Moulded bathing platform with stainless steel ladder and stainless steel auxilliary engine bracket. Hull antifouled and rudder, trim tabs, propeller protector and sternthruster housing coated in SeaJet 3-part epoxy system for protection. 
Large self bailing deck with watertight locker storage port and starboard of engine hatch. Live bait well at transom with electric pump. Teak topped gunwales with built in net rollers and rod holders port and starboard.
Stainless steel bow and rear cockpit rails and stainless steel handrails on wheelhouse roof offer security when going forward.
Custom made stainless steel radar/lighting arch. 
Offest wheelhouse with secure walkway on starboard side. Wrap around windscreen with electric windscreen wipers and screen wash system. Opening portholes and opening roof hatch for ventilation.
