Summary
‘Magic Moments’ is an extremely nice example of the popular Fisher 25. Built by Northshore Yachts in 1995, she has been very fortunate with her owners. Her present custodian took ownership in 2003 and since then he has lovingly maintained her and used her lightly. Up until 2024 the vessel was lifted ashore every Winter when she had her hull polished, anodes changed and coppercoat checked. Below decks is original but in excellent condition. Engine is a Yanmar 3GM30F diesel which will push her along nicely and provides hot water.
Other welcome features include a Stackpack for the mani, manual anchor windlass, cabin heating and a Darglow feathering propeller. Comprehensive electronic navigation aids including Radar, autopilot and chartplotter.
Mechanical
Vessel is powered by a Yanmar 3GM30F. This 3-cylinder, 27hp workhorse is situated beneath the wheel house floor. The floor lifts allowing easy access to all aspects of the engine for servicing or daily checks. Engine has been regularly maintained during present ownership with an annual service taking place at the end of each season. This would normally happen prior to lift out, so that the engine would sit with fresh oil over the winter. Engine display above wheel with audible and visual warning lights for temperature, oil pressure and charging. Single lever engine control with forward and reverse gearing. The engine will push the boat along nicely, at 5.6 - 6 knots. Top speed under engine is 7 knots. Reduction Gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft with Darglow three bladed feathering propeller. This propeller has been regularly removed and greased.
Electrical
12/240V systems on board. Bank of 3x 12 Volt batteries providing engine start and domestic power. At the helm is a series of 12 Volt selector switches which give power to the onboard equipment. At the galley and in the cabins are three pin sockets which can be used when the vessel, is moored and attached to shore power. Batteries are recharged either by the engine altimeter or the onboard sterling battery charger.
Rigging
Ketch rigged vessel with single spreader aluminium masts. Slab reefing mainsail mounted in stack pack on boom. Roller furling headsail system with genoa cars mounted on gunwales. Lewmar genoa sheet winches with cleats aft. Halyard winches on mast.
Sails include a roller furling genoa with UV strip, slab reefing main and a mizzen sail. This sail is currently at home but available.
