Summary

The 2005 MacGregor, Trailerable 26M, is a sailboat known for its unique water ballast system and ability to plane under power. It is a hybrid design that combines the features of a sailboat and a motorboat.
FEATURES
Lifting keel and rudders reduce draft to 0.35m and allow boat to sit flat in mud berths etc. Boat can be easily steered using outboard only. Keel is currently raised.
Water ballast system allows boat to take on extra ballast for stability when used in the ocean (highly recommended, particularly when sailing). Tank is currently empty for transport (I left it like this as the only way to empty once full is by lifting out).
Mast can be winched up/down pretty easily, instructions in manual inside but also lots of YouTube videos! Best to do this when moored and stable and with 2 people. Winch, boom and sails all inside.
When mast is down and keel/rudders up boat can reach 20 knots!
With solid foam buoyancy The MacGregor is almost unsinkable
