Summary

'Aeolus' is a fine example of the swift sailing Twister 28. Built in 1979 by Uphams to a Ken Holman design, this capable cruiser is a joy to sail and ready to share new adventures with a new custodian. Her engine was upgraded in 1998 to a Yanmar 2GM20 providing reliability and economy. Her hull topsides are finished in an attractive dark green paint. Below decks is clean and tidy with berths for 4. Taylors paraffin oven with two burner hob. Seperate heads with Jabsco toilet. Navigation aids include Silva DSC VHF, colour Garmin 557 chart plotter, NASA depth sounder and NASA AIS. An added bonus is the Sea Feather self steering gear.
Proctor spars with stainless steel standing rigging. Good suit of Crusader sails including main, genoa and cruising chute.

Chart table opposite with switch panel and chart reading light.
Forward of the saloon bulkhead is the heads compartment with Jabsco marine toilet. The outlet seacock was replaced and the inlet has been serviced. Opposite is a stainless steel sink with hand basin.

Construction

GRP constructed sailing yacht with long keel and transom and keel mounted rudder. Tiller steering.
Topsides painted in smart dark green paint.
Under water areas were antifouled in May 2025. Deep safe cockpit with storage lockers port and starboard. Locker tops finished in varnished teak strips. Cockpit sole finished in treadmaster panels.
GRP superstructure with GRP/Balsa snadwich deck. Side and foredeck finished in gray deck paint.
Stainless steel stanchions, bow and stern rails with double set of stainless steel guard wires.
