Summary

‘Saint Anselm’ is an excellent example of the popular Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40.3. This is the 2-cabin version which will appeal to both the cruising couple or family boater. To say this boat is comfortable is an understatement and below decks boasts cream leatherette upholstery in saloon, a pocket sprung mattress on the owners island berth, new mattresses in the aft guest cabin, diesel fired heating, new fridge and a brand-new full cockpit enclosure which doubles as an extra room. 
She also has a NEW suit of Hyde sails including a triple reef mainsail and roller furling genoa purchased new in 2023 along with a smart new stack pack. 
Upgraded navigation package with B+G colour, touch screen Vulcan 12” and 7” MFD plotters at helm position and chart table, DST810 triducer/sounder, B&G G4 radar with new NEM sharing cable allowing radar to be displayed on both plotters, Class B AIS linked to B&G system for instant identification and Icom M423G DSC VHF + Command Mic. 
Safety package includes an EPIRB and an in date life raft. Hull antifouled and anodes changed late 2025. 

Mechanical

Vessel is powered by a reliable and economical Yanmar 4JH3-E inboard diesel. This 54hp unit is situated beneath the companionway steps in a sound proofed compartment. The engine has completed 903 hours and was serviced in 2026 ready for the season.
Reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft and Gori feathering propeller.

Rigging

Bermudan sloop with masthead rig. Deck stepped aluminium mast and boom by Z-Diffusion. Stainless steel standing rigging and terylene running rigging. Majority of running rigging is led aft to the helm to assist with short-handed sailing. At time of build the vessel was specified with spinnaker rigging. This included an extra winch on the coach roof and the associated turning blocks and jammers. The boat was also fitted with additional sheet winches in the cockpit to assist in flying cruising chutes.
Vessel was treated to a brand new suit of Hyde sails in 2023. These are a triple reefed mainsail that is a joy to handle and a roller fuling genoa with UV strip. Mainsail situated in a new stack pack on the boom. There is a barely used Code 0 kite and cruising gennaker.

Spacious guest double stern cabin to starboard side with hanging space, opening port and 12V deck head and reading lights. New upholstery in 2022.
In the bow is the ‘Owners’ cabin with island double berth and ensuite wash hand basin. The mattrass is a thick, comfortable pocket sprung model ensuring a restful and relaxing nights sleep. Storage shelves along each hull and lockers above and below the sink. Hanging cupboard to port. Additional storage below the bed.

This is a single heads boat with spacious heads compartment aft. This features a sink unit with pressurised hot and cold water, mirrored vanity unit and separate shower stall with perspex shower screen door. Jabsco marine head with "twist-n-lock" handle.

Forward facing chart table with comfortable curved seat with storage below. Chart table with lifting lid. Here you will find the 12/240V switch panel, chart reading light and heating controls. Navigation aids situated here include  Icom DSC VHF and a B&G 12” colour plotter/radar.

Saloon with large dining table on starboard side with twin seating on the port side. The dining area will convert to a large double if required. 
Flooring is teak and holly laminate. All cabins and heads heated by Webasto hot air system.

"L" shaped galley located at the aft end of the saloon on the starboard side of the vessel. Double stainless steel sinks with hot and cold fresh water mixer tap. Sink covers. Perspex splash back to protect the dining area.  Large 140 litre chest type fridge for provisions and keeping the beers cold. Small ice compartment. Fridge is fitted with a drain for easy cleaning. Construction

Beautifully constructed sailing yacht built by leading French builder Jeanneau to a Daniel Andrieu design. GRP constructed hull with hi-gloss white topsides. Deep draft fin keel with semi balanced spade rudder. Twin wheel steering with emergency tiller. Hull antifouled in 2025 using a 2-season application.  Gently sloping coach roof finished in panelled non-slip allows safe access round the decks. The side decks are wide and the shrouds are inboard which further assists free movement. Large anchor locker at bow with electric Lofrans windlass. Tilting stainless steel bow fitting with double roller, allows the anchor to be permanently mounted ready for deployment. Recently purchased Rocna anchor.
Hull to deck join is hidden by an aluminium toe rail with attractive PVC extrusion. Fair leads situated fore, aft and mid-ships.

Spacious but companionable cockpit with twin leather trimmed steering wheels. Teak topped locker seating port and starboard of GRP drop leaved table. Starboard helm seat hides the gas locker with twin bottle storage. Central cockpit seat drops to give access to the teak laid bathing platform. Stainless steel bathing ladder with white GRP steps. Cockpit shower.

Cockpit benefits from a full cockpit canopy with full bimini and zip on side panels. This was installed NEW in 2023.
