Summary
'Kalavria' is a lovely example of the ever-popular Oceanis 411 from the Beneteau stable. Built in 2000 to a Group Finot design she offers excellent accommodation in partnership with comfortable and capable cruising. Whether short-handed or with an experienced crew she is a joy to handle and will delight both the novice and experienced yachtie in equal measure.
This is the more desirable 3-Cabin version with ensuite ‘Owners’ suite forward and two large double cabins aft with day heads. Saloon converts to an occasional double if required. Huge cockpit with fixed table. Comprehensive electronic navigation package including chart plotters, autopilot and radar. Comes with a complete cockpit enclosure, Rutland wind generator, dinghy and outboard.
Mechanical
Vessel powered by a Volvo Penta MD22P. This 4 cylinder, 59hp workhorse is situated beneath the companionway allowing full access to the front, sides and rear for daily checks and servicing. Vessel undergoes an annual service with most recent is April 2025.
Reduction gearbox driving 3 bladed MaxProp Easy.
Engine start panel mounted on binnacle with key start, rev counter, and visual/audible gauges for temperature, oil pressure and charging. Rope cutter.
Electrical
12/240V systems on board with bank of 3x12V batteries providing engine start and domestic power. Batteries fitted with isolators and an emergency coupler allowing engine to be started should engine start battery fail.
Batteries recharged via engine alternator or either the Rutland wind charger or the onboard battery charger when attached to shore power.
12/240V panel at chart table with selector switches. These illuminate when in use.

Accommodation
Vessel can sleep 8 persons in comfort over three dedicated sleeping cabins and the saloon. The interior woodwork is warm stained cherry, and the upholstery is the original, Beneteau nautical blue and white stripe. The flooring is hard wearing laminate panels with keel access. Numerous deck hatches and portlights let in light and ventilation. All openings and hatches fitted with blinds. The saloon is access via the cockpit. Four generously angled steps down and you can’t help but be impressed by the space and clever layout.
To starboard is a substantial 'U' -shaped saloon seating area with curved saloon table with two legs offering greater support. Behind and below seating is plentiful storage. Additional storage provided form hull mounted cupboards and racks. Fixed bench seating for table.
Opposite the saloon seating area is the linear galley. Gas fuelled ENO oven with 2-burner hob and grill. Huge top loading fridge with ice compartment keeps the beers and wine cool. Stainless steel double sink with hot & cold pressurised mixer tap. There is an additional hand operated cold water tap which saves power when at sea. Decent cupboard & drawer storage.
Continuing forward is the ‘Owners’ cabin. This has an offset double berth to starboard and a linear dressing seat to port. Good sized cupboard storage to port including hanging space & further storage under berth. Ensuite heads compartment with jabsco sea toilet, moulded sink unit with pull out shower head. Hot and cold pressurised water. Storage lockers port and starboard. Shower pump out. Opening hatch for ventilation.
Returning to the saloon and moving aft is the forward-facing chart table/navigation station. Dedicated chart desk with comfortable seat. 12/240V switch panels, gauges for tanks and battery levels. Chart reading light. Angled panel with Chartplotter. CD player.
Opposite the chart table and aft of the galley is the day heads compartment. Manual Jabsco marine toilet. Moulded sink unit with pull out shower head and hot and cold mixer tap. Storage below sink. Mirror. Opening port for ventilation. Overhead rail for wet clothing
Either side of the companionway steps are the twin aft cabins. Each one is identical and features a large double berth, cupboard storage, opening portlights with curtains, 12V deck head and reading lighting.
Construction
GRP constructed yacht with cast iron fin keel and semi balanced counter hung rudder. Underwater areas were antifouled in April 2025. Hull topsides are a smart navy blue gelcoat which were polished before launch in April 2025. White GRP superstructure with teak laid side decks and teak capping rails. Large anchor locker in bow with lid. Leroy Sommer horizontal anchor windlass. Stainless steel double anchor roller. Self-bailing cockpit with teak topped cockpit locker top seating. Substantial cockpit drop leaved table with teak laid inserts. Binnacle mounted wheel steering with leather trim. Storage lockers to port & starboard of helm. Transom access gate. Teak laid bathing platform with stainless steel bathing ladder. Hot and cold transom shower.
Good sized storage lockers port and starboard with space of mooring warps and dinghy. Dedicated gas locker with two bottles. Stainless steel pushpit and pulpit rails. Stern cleats with fairleads. Stainless steel stanchions with double set guard wires. Midship Cleats.
