Westerly Centaur, bilge keeled sailing yacht with 'B' internal layout. Recently serviced Volvo diesel engine. Brand new 12V batteries with isolator and shore power. Comprehensive electronic navigation aids including Standard Horizon Eclipse DSC VHF, Garmin Echomap 50s colour chartplotter, Raytheon autopilot, autohelm speed/depth and wind instrument. Below decks can sleep up to 5 persons over the forward cabin and saloon. Galley with oven and hob. Sea toilet.

Mechanical

Vessel is powered by a Volvo Penta MD2B, 25hp inboard diesel engine. Reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft and 3-bladed fixed propeller. Although engine is original she fires on the key and will provide many years of good service. Most recent service in March 2024.
Engine start panel in cockpit with engine control adjacent.
12V systems powered by 2X12V batteries. These are brand new April 2024 and fitted with rotary style selector switch. Batteries recharged via engine alternator or via the solar panels mounted on the coach roof. Shore power cable with mains hook up. Plug in battery charger.

Rigging

Deck stepped, gold anodised aluminium mast and boom. Mast mounted spinnaker track with rigging and pole. Rotostay furling headsail system with genoa tracks mounted aft. Standing rigging is stainless steel wire. Inner shrouds are mounted on coachroof allowing easy access forward. Inner baby stay to fly storm jib (not included) .

Accommodation:

Below decks can sleep 5 over the forecabin and saloon. The quarter berth cushions are missing and will need replacing. This is the B layout which is more open plan and less obstructive. Galley on starboard side with gas fuelled oven with two burner hob. Sink with hand pumped fresh water. There is a saloon dining table with leg. The base needs replacing.
Between the saloon and the forepeak is the heads compartment with sea toilet. Opposite is a hanging locker with storage below.
Double berth in forepeak with infill cushion. Opening deck hatch and two ports for light and ventilation.
The headlingings have been replaced and are in good order. The 12V wiring and switch panels have been upgraded. The addition of a saloon carpet will add comfort.

Construction:

GRP constructed yacht with smart blue painted topsides. Side decks and coach roof finished in pale blue deck paint. White superstructure. Flush foredeck with anchor bollard and mooring cleats. Stainless steel bow and stern rails conjoined by set of stainless steel stanchions and double set guard wires. Huge cockpit for a boat of this size with single locker to rear. Teak cockpit grate. Self draining cockpit sole.
Twincast iron bilge keels with spade rudder and tiller steering.
