This Pegasus 800 is a modern styled attractive small cruiser with a well-finished interior. With six foot headroom, she has a surprisingly spacious and comfortable saloon. 'Star of the Sea' has Volvo Penta D1-13hp inboard diesel engine that was installed new in 2019 and has new shore power, solar panel, and charging system. Construction

Pegasus 800, built-in 1979 as No 58 by Ridgeway Marine to a design by Gordon Harris.
GRP Hull and Deck with lifting keel and tiller steering. Large self-draining cockpit with lockers to port and starboard. Nice wide side decks making going forward easy and secure. Anchor well forward with stem head fitting and double roller.

GRP moulded cabin liner helps the interior feel light and airy and is easier to keep clean than traditional headlining in use on many boats of this period.

This vessel sustained some hull damage during a storm in 1988 and a new hull, deck and mouldings were supplied by Pegasus Yachts.

Mechanical

Mechanical:
Vessel powered by a Volvo Penta D1-13hp inboard diesel driving a stainless steel shaft and 2-bladed propeller. The engine was installed new in 2019 and has been serviced annually. The engine is accessed through a large hatch in the cockpit sole.

Electrical:
Twin battery installation with isolator switch. These are recharged via the engine alternator. 240v Shore power to include shore support cable
240v Battery charger
Solar panel - charges twin batteries and can provide auxiliary power to domestic equipment if required (fridge, radio etc)

Charge controller is 20A MPPT - additional panel can be added if required

Cold water system

Calor Gas pipework between the bottle and cooker has been replaced.

Bermudan sloop rigged yacht with aluminium deck stepped mast and boom.

Accommodation

Accommodation for up to 5 adults in 3 single berths and 1 double. There are 2 single quarter-berths, one to either side of the companionway steps, another single on the port saloon seat, and a double to starboard made by lowering the dining table.

As you enter the saloon to starboard is the galley with gimballed cooker and a sink with manually pumped cold water over a cupboard. The galley unit slid back in to allow access to the quarter berth.

To port there is a chart table which slides into the quarter-berth when not in use also leaving a single seat exposed.

The main saloon is light and airy with a central seating area and a dining table attached to the king post allowing the table to be raised and lowered to any height. There is cupboard shelving along both sides of the hull and additional storage beneath each berth.

There is an enclosed forecabin, in which the Chemical toilet is located, along with a sink moulded into the starboard side inner GRP moulding. This forecabin has cushions complete with infill to accommodate two extra berths (2 x single or a double).
